As World Poetry Day was celebrated worldwide, two Poets here, have been honoured by the Vincentian Association of Artists, Writers and Producers for outstanding work.
Nerissa King was announced as the Female Poet of the Year, while Adrian Wright copped the award for Male Poet of the year and overall Poet of the year.
One of the Directors of the Association, Renee Baptiste told NBC News it was founded in 2011to highlight the work of people involved in the Arts.
Miss Baptiste said that a presentation day and poetry evening will be held later this month where trophies and medals will be presented to the winners.
