The recently established National Treasures Organization is giving high priority to preserving the natural beauty of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The non-profit organization was launched earlier this year with the intention of preserving the tangible and intangible heritage of St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Tony Regisford, one of the organization’s Directors, says a clean-up exercise was carried out in the Kingstown area during the month of October, as part of this thrust.
According to Mr. Regisford, the idea for the clean-up emerged during preparations for a series of Heritage Walks.
Mr. Regisford notes that a general clean-up was carried out of the North River Road and the North River, in collaboration with a number of stakeholders, including BRAGSA, CWSA and the Kingstown Board.
