SVG Squash Team At OECS Tourney

St. Vincent and the Grenadines Senior Squash Team won the top five Male positions at the recently concluded OECS Squash Championships at Rodney Bay St. Lucia.

SVG’s, Jules Snagg retained his OECS Number (1) Male category having defeated runner-up compatriot, Jason Doyle 3-LOVE, third was Kevin Hannaway beating Kevin Bailey 3-1, who settled for fourth, and fifth was Eshawn Adams who got the better of Dion Anselm of the British Virgin Islands, whipping him 3-1.

In the individual Female category, despite only having two Female entries team St. Vincent and the Grenadines managed to take third and fourth place finishes in the name of Giovanna Miller-Alexander getting the better of her sister Gianna Miller-Alexander, defeating her 3-1, in the veteran category the lone SVG entry James Bentick retained his OECS Over-40 category having defeated Dion Anselm of the British Virgin Islands in a thrilling five sets wining 3-2.

In the Team Event, St. Vincent and the Grenadines copped the Men’s team Title ousting the BVI and St. Lucia 4-nil respectively, while the Alexander sisters settled for the 2nd place in the Female category.
