St. Vincent and the Grenadines retained the Under-19 Title to bring the curtains down on the 2016 WINLOTT Windward Islands Cricket Championship at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex held on Sunday 3rd July, 2016.

Grenada gained first innings points over St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the latter gaining enough points to win the Title.

Grenada 129 and 206 for 3 declared. Emmanuel Stewart hit 102 not out, including seven fours and two sixes, Ryan John 40 not out, Shakeem Charles 38.

Set, 240 to win, St. Vincent and the Grenadines were tottering at the close on 94 for 7. Urnel Thomas 34, Dillon Douglas 28. Darrell Cyrus 3 for 28. Final scores: Grenada 129 and 203 for 3 declared, St. Vincent and the Grenadines 95 and 94 for 7. Match drawn.

St. Lucia defeated Dominica by 81 runs at Arnos Vale (2). St. Lucia 124 and 199 for 9 declared. Dane Edwards 78, Sherwin George 24. Shervern Dorsett 3 for 32, Tatch Douganay 3 for 44, Lee Louie 2 for 35.

Dominica 92; Vermailius Gabriel 34 not out, Shevern Dorsett 28; Sherwin George 5 for 9, Colinus Calendar 3 for 15 and set 232 to win, Dominica were bowled out for 151. Cassim Peltier 57, Teryll Toussaint 26 not out. Shadrock Dorsett 4 for 11 Sherwin George and Kester Shallmine took 2 for 30 each. Final scores: St. Lucia 124 and 199 for 9 declared, Dominica 92 and 151. St. Lucia won by 81 runs.

The final points standing reads: St. Vincent and the Grenadines (21), St. Lucia and Grenada (15 each) and Dominica (9). The Squad to represent the Windward Islands in the upcoming West Indies Tournament to be held here from 24th July will be announced in a subsequent Sportscast.
