The St. Joseph’s Convent Kingstown CSEC pass rate

The St. Joseph’s Convent Kingstown has recorded an overall 91.76 percent pass rate in this year’s CSEC Examinations.

Of the 61 students who sat the exam, 3 students passed 11 subjects, 6 students passed 10 subjects, and 13 nine subjects.

72 per cent of the students passed five or more subjects with Mathematics and English.

There was 100% passes in 16 subject areas – Chemistry, Clothing & Textiles, Economics, Electronic Document Preparation Management, Food and Nutrition, Home Economics Management, Information Technology, Integrated Science, Physical Education, Physics, Principles of Accounts, Principles of Business, Religious Education, Music, Spanish and Theatre Arts.

Three subjects recorded passes in the nineties – English A 96.7%, Office Administration 91.6%, and Social Studies 97.8%. Mathematics recorded 73.7% passes.

There was an improvement in the percentage passes in eleven subject areas when compared to last year’s performance. This was especially so in Physics which improved by 42.9% and Chemistry which increased by 60%.
