The Public Service Union on Tuesday, 23rd August, 2016, awarded scholarships to five students whose parents are members of the Union.
The presentation ceremony was held at the union’s headquarters at Mc Kies Hill with students, parents, the media and the union representatives in attendance. Twenty four (24) bursaries and 21 subsistence allowances were also presented.
First Vice President of the PSU, Leroy James said all students who applied for scholarship were given some form of assistance.
Lesron Pope a former scholarship holder, praised the union for granting scholarships over the years, and advised the recipients to aim for excellence.
Pope was the Feature speaker at the ceremony.
