Anthony Theobalds, Chief Cultural Officer said the recent meeting of the Regional Cultural Committee was held in Barbados from September 21st to 24th and was a success.
Mr. Theobalds said one of the key issues discussed at the regional meeting was the Reparations Movement, which was led by Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Among other topics discussed were the establishment of a Strategic Plan for the Creative and Cultural Industries throughout the region and CARIFESTA 2017.
Mr. Theobalds said they also discussed the way forward on integration programs throughout the region which would include efforts to diversify economies in the Caribbean.
