Financial Information Month (FIM) is being celebrated this month and St. Vincent and the Grenadines will join other member countries of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU) while focusing on theme “Create, Optimize, Pursue and Embrace Opportunities”.
Gilbert Porter, Representative of Sagicor Life Insurance Company, said the aim is to promote awareness and understanding of general financial and economic issues among citizens.
Meanwhile, Danilee Francis of the General Employees Cooperative Credit Union (GECCU), said a number of exciting activities are being planned throughout the month.
The Month forms part of an ECCU public education programme and will focus on the development of the business sector, particularly the emphasis on small and medium sized enterprises.
