The local Police Force is advising persons to be on the alert, in light of a developing trend where assailants are knocking on the house doors of persons, pretending to be genuinely seeking assistance or a favour.
Police say when the occupant opens the door, they are attacked or assaulted by the assailant.
In light of this, the Police Force is advising persons to exercise CAUTION whenever they hear a knocking on their door.
Persons are being cautioned not to open the door unless they are quite sure that the knocking is bona fide and that they are familiar with the person who is knocking.
