Grenadines Whalers cruise past Windward Warriors by 61 runs in Emancipation Cricket Festival

Grenadines Whalers beat Windward Warriors by 61 runs in match (2) of the Inaugural Emancipation Cricket Festival Twenty/20 Tournament at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex last night.

 

The scores: Grenadines Whalers 146 for 9 off 20-overs; (wicketkeeper/batter, Dillon Douglas 49, Salvan Browne 30; Kevin Stoute 4-27, Kirtney Franklyn 2-15, Alston Bobb 2-24).

 

Windward Islands Warriors 85 off 17.5-overs; (Devonte Mc Dowall 15, Johnathan Carter 14; Rasheed Fredericks 3-9, Jomel Warrican 3-16, Jeremy Layne 2-18).

 

Windward Islands Warriors will meet Leeward Lions in the 3rd Place Playoff this evening at 7.00 O’clock, and tomorrow Kingstown Kings and Grenadines Whalers will contest the Final tomorrow also at 7.00 p. m.

 

All matches will be Broadcast Live on the Supreme Sporting Sound, NBC Radio.
