
Vincentians have again been assured that the Government is taking steps to restore fiscal stability, in the wake of the latest credit rating for St. Vincent and the Grenadines by the global financial services company, Moody’s
During the month of June, Moody’s announced that St. Vincent and the Grenadines Credit Rating had been downgraded to Caa1, with a negative outlook.
Discussing the issue on NBC Radio this week, Prime Minister Dr. the Hon Godwin Friday highlighted the factors which have led to the current economic situation.
Prime Minister Friday noted that the current situation has made it increasingly difficult for the Government to secure loans.
The Prime Minister however gave the assurance that the Government is taking steps to stabilise the economic situation.
