Workers in St. Vincent and the Grenadines are being encouraged to join forces in the quest to secure social security benefits for all workers.
President of the SVG Teachers’ Union Oswald Robinson made the call in a radio address to mark International Workers Day on Thursday, which was observed here under the theme: Mobilizing to Secure the Unions’ Gains.
Mr. Robinson said workers have a responsibility to advocate for improved benefits at the workplace.
Mr. Robinson also noted that the local trade union movement has made tremendous gains over the years.
