National Disability Awareness Month is being observed here under the theme: “Sustainable Development: The promise of Technology”
The National Society of Persons with disabilities in partnering with Organizations and Institutions serving persons with disabilities to host activities from November 3rd to December 3rd
The activities include a Church Service to take place this Saturday at the Calder Seventh Day Adventist Church; First Aid Training Programs at the Kingstown Red Cross Headquarters, as well as a Conference on Wednesday December 3rd which is designated worldwide as International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
There will also be Special Olympics Games on November 14th and 15th.
The activities are being held to recognize the contributions of persons with disabilities to the society.
