Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Roger Duncan, said the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment continues to implement initiatives aimed at improving Diabetes care.
He gave the assurance at last week’s launch of a Diabetic Care Programme, which is expected to help in the monitoring and control of Diabetes, through the distribution of glucometers to Diabetic patients.
Dr. Duncan said the programmes are designed to ensure full and consistent participation of patients and their families in providing adequate care for patients with Diabetes.
Dr. Duncan said the Ministry engaged a wide range of stakeholders in the development and implementation of the programme.
