Young Bush of Calliaqua defeated No Nonsense Ballers of Choppins 1-nil to retain the Title of the Annual Calliaqua New Year’s Day 4-aside Small Goal Football Championship at Culture Pot Square in Calliaqua on Friday.
Shanty Lions of Villa was third.
Kezeni Haynes of Combined Youths was voted the Most Valuable Player of the Championship, while Marlon Quinton of Young Bush was the top marksman with four goals.
First place Trophy was distributed by area representative, Camillo Gonsalves, New York based, Franklyn Quashie donated the 2nd place Trophy and Lawrence Franklyn donated the 3rd place Trophy.
Eight teams participated in two Zones in the Championship.
