Neurosurgery Mission

The World Pediatric Project (WPP) is currently preparing to host a Neurosurgery Medical Mission to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Neurosurgery or neurological surgery is the medical specialty concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of disorders which affect any portion of the nervous system including the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and extra-cranial cerebrovascular system.

WPP Director for the Eastern Caribbean – Jaqueline Brown King tells NBC News this mission is scheduled to be in the state from June 18th to 24th and it will comprise a six member delegation.

Mrs. Browne King says they are expecting a large contingent of Children from throughout the region to visit St. Vincent to receive medical attention during this mission.

She notes that the cases which they will be seeing on this mission are those that need follow-up checkups.
