Owia Young Strikers and Sion Hill Tallawahs advanced to the semi-finals of the 2016 St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Co-operative Credit Union Clinchers Twenty/20 Softball Cricket Championship with victories at the Richland Park Oval.
Owia Young Strikers defeated defending champions, Gairy Construction Simple Boyz by 70 runs.
The scores: Owia Young Strikers 149-6 off 20 overs (Denson Hoyte 40, Daverson Lavia 35, Oznette Cato 30, Keneil Skinner 2-24, Stein Joseph 2-28), Gairy Construction Simple Boyz 79 off 18.2).
Sion Hill Tallawahs beat CGM Gallagher Novice by seven wickets.
The scores: CGM Gallagher Novice 84 off 18.4 overs, Sion Hill Tallawahs 85-3 off 14 overs.
The semi-finals are scheduled for 25th June when Nice Radio Clinchers will meet Sion Hill Tallawahs, and Country Meet Town Outah Trouble will oppose Owia Young Strikers.
The third place play-off and the final will take place on 26th and will be followed by the Final and Presentation Ceremony.
