Teacher’s Union Says Thanks

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Teachers Union has expressed gratitude Teachers across the state as St. Vincent and the Grenadines joins other internationally to observe World Teachers Day.

The Union said in a release that teachers serve us as Educators, Mentors and Friends to the children in their care and described them as the bedrock of society.

It added that in some parts of the world teaching does not receive the respect it deserves even though it is one of the most vital professions.

The theme for World Teacher’s Day is “Valuing Teachers Improving Their Status”
