As a part of the ongoing Urology Mission of the World Pediatric Project (WPP) fourteen surgeries are expected to be conducted here during this week and a team of doctors from this project arrived in the state over the weekend to conduct this Mission.
Urology is the branch of medicine and physiology concerned with the function and disorders of the urinary system.
Jaqueline Brown King, Director for the Eastern Caribbean, World Pediatric Project (WPP), told NBC News, that 41 children from throughout the region attended a Clinic conducted by a medical team at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Brown King said today four of the fourteen surgeries which they have scheduled for this week will be conducted.
