First year student at the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College, Michel Creese is the new Singles Table Tennis Champion of the College.
Creese clinched the Title yesterday. He had to recover from a first set loss to Kurtney Franklyn, but eventually won 8-11, 11-1, 11-7, 11-7 at the Student’s Council Building at the College’s Campus at Villa.
Franklyn showed fine form yesterday to reach the final. He took the attack to Mirac Creese in his 11-6, 11-8, 11-4 semi-final victory.
Early in the bronze medal match, Creese did not seem to regain his composure from his earlier defeat in the semi-finals, but recovered to defeat Kimoni Shoy 3-11, 13-11, 11-8, 11-8, 11-7 to place third.
