
Consumers in St. Vincent and the Grenadines are preparing for the second VAT free shopping day later this month.
The Government has declared Friday August 28, to coincide with the re-opening of schools for the new School term.
In an interview with NBC News, Comptroller of the Inland Revenue Department, Kelvin Pompey, indicated that this VAT free day will be restricted to four categories of goods.
Mr. Pompey is encouraging consumers to focus on purchasing items that are normally vatable.
And, Mr. Pompey is anticipating that consumers will benefit from the upcoming VAT Free shopping day.
