The St Vincent & the Grenadines Chamber of Industry & Commerce in conjunction with the Energy Unit, will be hosting a symposium entitled GREEN BUSINESS DAY “Increasing Profitability through Energy Efficiency”.
This symposium aims to inform the local Business Community on ways to reduce their energy outputs, which is one of the most significant overhead expenses to many companies.
Any reduction in energy spending could lead to increased profitability.
The Symposium will be held on Thursday adjacent to the Chamber’s office at the Cruise Ship Terminal Building from 5 pm
There will be a mini-exhibition showcasing companies that offer products and services that increase commercial energy efficiency.
Representatives from financial institutions will also be on hand to give information on lending programmes and financing available for green business activities, including retrofitting and green construction.
The event is only open to businesses and interested attendees may contact the SVG Chamber of Industry and Commerce to register.
GREEN BUSINESS DAY is part of the activities for the 3rd annual CARICOM Energy Week (CEW), under the theme is “A Secure and Sustainable Energy Future Begins Now!”
