The St Vincent and the Grenadines Amateur Swimming Association (SVGASA) in partnership with the Bank of Nova Scotia and LIME are pleased to present an update on recently completed activities and upcoming activities.
The Scotiabank Invitational Swimming Championships (SISC)
The Scotiabank Invitational Swimming Championships was held at the Shrewsbury Pool facility at Ratho Mill from February 20th to 23rd, 2014.
The event featured over 70 young swimmers in age categories ranging from Under-6, Under-15 and Older. The event saw a number of new National Records. The overall winners were Nikolas Sylvester in the Boys category and Shné Joachim in the Girls category.
The Club competition was won by Black Sands Swim Squad. This was the first official swimming competition for the year. The year 2014 will be an extremely busy year for our swimmers. The next major competition is the Barbados National Championships at the Aquatic Centre’s 50 meter pool in Wildey, from March 7th to 9th. This will be a major test for our swimmers.
