Caswin Prince won the veteran Men’s category in a time of 24 minutes, 48.95 seconds LOG Enterprises Team Athletics St Vincent and the Grenadines North Leeward 5K Road Race yesterday. Second was Leonard Ballantyne in 29 minutes, 35.01 seconds and JOON-YAH Garrick third in 30 minutes, 37.20 seconds.
The veteran Women’s category won by Sasha Hooper in 34 minutes, 21.22 seconds, second Samantha Lynch in 35 minutes, 57.00 seconds and Marguerite Douglas third in 37 minutes, 04.18 seconds.
Junior Ashton of X-CEL Club won the Men’s Over-19 category in 20 minutes 55.48 seconds, second was Casnel Lewis of IT Dat in 21 minutes, 16.41 seconds and Josnel Ashton of Chatoyer Club in 21 minutes, 24.11 seconds.
Linda McDowall of IT Dat won the Women’s category in 23 minutes, 23.23 seconds, Sandika Hooper second in 37 minutes, 27.81 seconds and third Shiva Butcher of X-CEED in 37 minutes, 48.86 seconds.
The Under-19 Boy’s category won by Akani Slater of IT Dat in 22 minutes, 12.14 seconds, followed by Ryan John of IT Dat in 22 minutes, 59.81 seconds and Sherwin Peters of X-CEL in 25 minutes, 42.49 seconds.
Karina Hooper of the Thomas Saunders Secondary School won the Under-19 Girl’s category in 30 minutes, 17.77 seconds, followed by Sorenya Miller of IT Dat in 33 minutes, 02.02 seconds.
Newman Peters of St. Martin’s Secondary School won the Boy’s Under-15 category in 26 minutes, 39.46 seconds, second Derrick Richards of Petit Bordel Secondary School in 28 minutes, 37.31 seconds and Josiah Ackie of the Questelles Primary School in 28 minutes, 41.39 seconds.
Sarika Hooper of the Troumaca Primary School won the Under-15 Girl’s category in 33 minutes, 37.33 seconds, second Odeka John of X-CEED Club in 35 minutes, 22.48 seconds and Latesha Pierre of St. Joseph Convent Kingstown third in 37 minutes, 22.26 seconds.
(59) Athletes started and (56) completed the Race which started at Troumaca Bottom and ended at the Beachfront Restaurant in Fitz Hughes.
