The Government Printery, the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Health and the Environment won matches at the weekend as the 2015 Government Printery Twenty/20 Softball Cricket Championship got underway at the Dauphine Playing Field.

Government Printery had a 5-wicket win over Physical Planning. The scores: Physical Planning 113 off 19.2-overs; Britnol Scott 26; Kevin Medford 3 for 23, Government Printery 114 for 5 off 16.4-overs; Elrico Patterson 33; Kamara Penniston 2 for 22.

Ministry of Agriculture beat Campden Park Strikers by 59 runs. The scores: Ministry of Agriculture 133 off 16-overs; Roger Francis 42, Lawrence Shoy 38; Jose Charles 4 for 9, Campden Park Strikers 74 off 12.4-overs; Jeremy Griffith 17; Ahmed Baptiste 4 for 21, Roger Francis 3 for 19.

The Ministry of Health and the Environment won by default from Customs.

And, the match between Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Smart Strikers ended in a no decision after being interrupted by rain. Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines reached 63 for 6 off 14-overs. Both teams were awarded one point each.

12-Teams are taking part in this year’s Championship.
