Giovanna Miller-Alexander defeated LOU-SHANNA Peters 11-LOVE, 11-3, 11-1 and Lauryn Doyle won from Jada Ross 12-10, 11-5, 7-11, 11-4 in the Girl’s Under-15 Division of the National Junior Squash Championships at the National Lotteries Authority in Paul’s Avenue here in Kingstown yesterday.
In the Boys Under-17s, Kai Bentick defeated Mikal Quashie 11-6, 11-7, 11-4 and Rashid Constance defeated Geronimo Ross 7-11, 11-5, 9-11, 11-4, 12-10.
In the Girls Under-19s, Gianna Miller-Alexander defeated Deiriai Myers 12-10, 11-7, 11-6 and Thandi Myers won from Demi Ollivierre 11-3, 11-3, 7-11, 11-4.
Jason Doyle defeated Mikal Quashie 11-7, 11-2, 11-LOVE Omari Wilson beat Geronimo Ross 11-9, 7-11, 11-1, 11-4 in the Boys Under-19.
And in the Boys Doubles: Jason Doyle & Mikal Quashie defeated Rashid Constance & Omari Wilson 11-7, 10-11, 11-8.
The Championship will continue this afternoon from a quarter to four also at the National Squash Center in Paul’s Avenue.
It is scheduled to close tomorrow.
