Emerald Stars defeated Topsidaz 2-1 at the Keartons Playing Field yesterday afternoon in the Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines Barrouallie Football League.
Gildon Edwards in a 3rd minute goal as Emerald Stars took the lead. In the 15th minute, Topsidaz scored the equalizer through a penalty converted by Markneil Lewis.
Chester Morgan then sealed victory for Emerald Stars when he scored the second and winning goal in the 26th minute.
Meanwhile, Rose Hall booked a semi-final spot in the Hairoun Beer Knockout Title following a 1-nil victory over Unlimited Strikers on Saturday.
The goal came in the 7th minute from Wildrick Samuel, and despite both teams creating chances it was the decider in the encounter.
This afternoon’s match will be between The Expendables and Predators FC of North Leeward in the quarter-finals of the Hairoun Beer Knockout Championship. It is scheduled to kick-off at half past four also at the Keartons Playing Field.
