Vincentian Athletes put in good performances at Athletics Meets in Texas, North Carolina USA and Vieux Fort, St. Lucia at the weekend.

In Texas, at the Howie Ryan Invitational, Rueberth Boyd, making his debut on the United States circuit, ran 7.08 seconds in the 60-metres in his heat, finishing 4th, while Kineke Alexander placed 6th in the 60-metres and 2nd in the 400-metres Final, with times of 7.51 seconds and 54.99 seconds respectively. They competed for the Elite Performance Club.

At the CIAA Championships in North Carolina, Jumone Exeter helped his School, St. Augustine University to its 19th consecutive Championship Title with a good win in the Triple Jump and a 3rd place finish in the High Jump. His 15.4-metres in the Triple Jump is his personal beat Indoors.

In Vieux Fort, St. Lucia, Akani Slater had double victories in the 400-metres and 800-metres Men’s Open with times of 48.8 seconds and 1 minute, 57.7 seconds respectively. He was the overall Champion in that Division.

Soreyna Millar also had a first-place finish in the 400-metresWomen’s Open with a personal best of 58.25 seconds, and a 3rd place finish in the 200-metres. The Athletes represented the IT DAT ACADEMY.
