Victories were won by Sharps United, Big League, North Stars and Peto Stars in the VINLEC North Leeward Twenty/20 Cricket Championship last weekend at the Petit Bordel Playing Field.
North Stars defeated Summerset by 9 wickets in a match reduced to 15 overs because of rain, Big League beat Ruddy’s Electrical by 9 wickets, Sharps United defeated Rose Bank United by 4 wickets while Peto Stars won by default from Sharps United.
The Sion Hill Cricket League has been rescheduled to start after the 2016 St Vincent and the Grenadines Masters Cricket Championship now in progress.10 teams have so far registered for the League and registration is still open.
Softball Cricket
Gairy Construction Simple Boys, Smart Strikers and Gomea Bombers won matches in last weekend’s National Lotteries Authority Top Belair Progressive Organisation’s Twenty/20 Softball Cricket Championship.
Richmond Hill was defeated by Gairy Construction Simple Boys United with a total of 50 runs while Smart Strikers beat Young Stars won by 8 wickets and Gomea Bombers won from Dipcon Road Warriors by 37 runs in a match reduced to 15 overs because of rain.
