* Year One Arts, Sciences and General Studies kept their composure to hold off the defending champions Year Two Arts, Sciences and General Studies 23-16 yesterday in the second round of the East Caribbean Group of Companies (ECGC) St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College Netball Championship at the Villa Campus Courts.

It means that Year Two Arts, Sciences and General Studies must win the last second round game to reach the Final.

* Earlier in the day, the Division of Teacher Education Team (1) defeated the Division of Teacher Education Team (2) 23-19.

The second round will end this afternoon also at the Villa Campus Courts. At 2 pm, Year One Arts, Sciences and General Studies will meet the Division of Teacher Education Team (2), and at 3 pm, Year Two Arts, Sciences and General Studies and the Division of Teacher Education Team (1) will go head to head.

* Youngsters of Barrouallie defeated G&T Enterprises Sydney Strikers 28-14 in the 1st of two Knockout matches played yesterday at the Hard Court of the Sion Hill Playing Field in the Vita Malt Sion Hill Netball Championship.

In the other Knockout match, Owia Trailblazers had the better of Sion Hill beating them 42-26.

At 5:30 pm tomorrow, Everready Future Stars will face-off with Star Girls (2) and later at 6:15 pm, Yanja Young Strugglers will clash with Star Girls (1) Sion Hill will oppose Trailblazers.

Both are Knockout matches and will also be played at the Hard Court of the Sion Hill Playing Field.
