Young Warriors defeated Basketball United 4-1, GABBA Boys beat Ball Lovers 6-1, while West Connection and Bequia United Football Club Under-17 played to a two all draw in last weekend’s matches of the Hairoun Beer Bequia Invitational Football Championship at the Clive Tannis Playing Field in Port Elizabeth.
On Saturday Young Warriors had a 4-1 win over Basketball United. Jamal Ollivierre netted a hat-trick, while Kimani James scored the other goal for Young Warriors. The goal for Basketball United was scored by Ashburn Phillips.
On Sunday, GABBA Boys thrashed Ball Lovers 6-1 with a hat-trick from Jason Hutchins and Sean Glynn scored a double and one from Sehon Sargeant.
Kelson Duncan scored twice as West Connection and Bequia United Football Club Under-17 played to a two all draw. The goals for Bequia United Football Club Under-17 were scored by Kamal Ollivierre and Mark Browne.
This afternoon, South Side Underdogs will take on Bequia United Football Club Under-17 from 4:15 at the Clive Tannis Playing Field.
