St. Lucia are the new Windward Islands Football Champion after their last match against St. Vincent and the Grenadines ended in goalless draw at Windsor Park in Roseau Dominica yesterday.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines, who went into the match on 4 points, 2 behind leader St. Lucia, needed to win the game to win the Tournament.
In yesterday’s other match, Grenada overhauled a 1-3 deficit to beat Dominica 5-3 for third place.
The final points standings: St. Lucia 9, St. Vincent and the Grenadines 5, Grenada 4 and Dominica zero.
St. Lucian Zacherus Polius was adjudged the Tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
