Caribbean Football Cup Open

Former SVG Striker, Renson Haynes scored the only goal as St. Vincent and the Grenadines defeated St. Kitts and Nevis 1-nil on Sunday in the 23rd Annual Caribbean Soccer Cup Tournament at the Thomas Jefferson High School Stadium in Brooklyn New York.

In the first game on the opening day, Trinidad and Tobago beat Grenada 1-nil through a goal from Devon Taylor.

And, Guyana outplayed Panama 8-1. The goals for Guyana were scored by Anthony Abrahim (4) with a goal each from Romain Haynes, Collie Hercules, Colwyn Drakes and Kevin Beaton.

Marlon Benjamin scored Panama’s lone goal.

Jamaica are the defending champions.

12 teams representing their various countries are taking part in the Tournament and matches are being officiated by FIFA Officials.
