St. Vincent and the Grenadines Women’s defeated Guyana Women’s 73-57 in Group “B” yesterday, to capture their first victory of the Caribbean Women’s Basketball Championship in Tortola the British Virgin Islands.
Shavern Weekes was St. Vincent and the Grenadines top scorer with 17 points.
With this result, St. Vincent and the Grenadines ended the first round of the Championship in the 3rd place of the Group, while Guyana in the 4th.
The teams now await the results of the other matches, to know their opponents in the reclassification round.
