Team OECS lost to Cayman Islands 2-3 yesterday in the Caribbean Men’s 40 and over Squash Championship in Barbados.

Defending Caribbean Champion Vincentian James Bentick won convincingly when he beat Ken Moore in 3 straight games.

However, team-mate Greta Primus went under to Janet Sairsingh 1-3 in the Women’s 40+ matchup.

Other win for the OECS Team came by default in the Men’s 60+, while the Cayman Islands also secured a win by default in the Men’s 50+.
OECS Vets Team will face Guyana this afternoon from half past one.

In the Men’s Team Pool “B” Championships, OECS defeated Number (2) seed Cayman Islands 3-2 in an emphatic match.

Romario Constance got the ball rolling with a comfortable 3-LOVE victory over Isaiah Robinson, Kevin Hannaway pulled off the key win defeating Julian Jervis 3-2, 14-12 in the deciding match and Jason Doyle then sealed the match with a convincing win over Warren Urquhart in 3 straight games.

Jules Snagg and Othniel Bailey both lost their matches 3-LOVE respectively against very stiff opponents but give it their all throughout the course of their match.

The OECS Men’s Team is currently in second place in their Pool after Trinidad and Tobago defeated Bermuda 4-1 which puts them at top of the group. OECS Men’s Teams will face Trinidad and Tobago this afternoon at 5 O’clock.
