National player, Desron Maloney scored the 1st century in the South Rivers Tape Ball Twenty/20 Cricket Championship on Saturday night at the South Rivers Playing Field as Center Street beat Matches Lane by 56 runs.

Final scores: Centre Street 226 for 5 off 15-overs; Maloney 107 not out, Teron Barnum 43, Vasquez McKenzie 26, Marvin Small 25; Keithlyn Alexander 2 for 24, Matches Lane 164 for 7 off 15-overs; SHA-KEEM Hackshaw 34; Delroy James 3 for 28, Teran Barnum 2 for 16.

Also on Saturday night, Jarvis inflicted a 5-wicket win over Chapel Tallawahs. The scores: Jarvis 173 for 7 off 15-overs; Dyke Cato 51 not out, Kesron Ashton 32; Kevin Jack 3 for 19, Kathleen James 2 for 36, Chapel Tallawahs 178 for 5 off 15-overs; Javid Williams 49, Jomo Toney 39, Asif Hooper 37 not out; Desrene Campbell 2 for 28.

On Sunday, River 14 Attackers beat Whole ah Parsha Vibes by 76 runs. The scores: River 14 Attackers 203 for 6 off 14-overs; Lindon James 98 not out, Deron Greaves 26, Wesrick Strough 22; Roland Wilkinson 2 for 52.

Whole ah Parsha Vibes 127 off 13-overs; Gidron Pope 53; Lindon James 3 for 31, Coldon James 2 for 7, Deron Greaves 2 for 7.

Sunday’s other scheduled match between Top Pasture and Jarvis was abandoned without a ball bowled because of rain.

The Championship will continue next weekend.
