St. Vincent and the Grenadines placed 4th overall at last weekend’s Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Athletics Championship in the British Virgin Islands with a total of 141 points, 57 from the Women’s Team which placed 4th, and 84 points from the Men’s Team which placed 3rd.
Host country The British Virgin Islands emerged Champions with 183 points, second was St. Kitts and Nevis on 176 points, and third was Grenada on 175 points.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines was 6th in the Medals Table, winning 2 gold, 7 silver and 5 bronze for their 14-medal tally.
BVI topped the medals with 19 medals, 9 gold, 4 silver and bronze.
St. Lucia were second with 5 gold medals, 4 silver and 2 bronze, a total of 11, with Grenada third after winning 14 medals including 4 gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze.
Over 150 Athletes from 9 countries took part in the 2-Day Championships.
