Grenada beat host St. Vincent and the Grenadines 2-nil last night in Group (3) of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Under-17 World Cup Qualifying Tournament which open at Victoria Park here in Kingstown.
The goals were scored by Kane Crichlow in the 43rd minute and ZAH-RI Burgess in the 82nd-minute.
In the earlier match, Bermuda defeated St. Lucia 2-1. Shermon Williams opened the scoring for Bermuda in injury time in the first half and Shawn Clarke netted the winner in the 47th-minute.
St. Lucia’s goal was scored by Gabriel Biscette in the 27th-minute.
Tomorrow, St. Lucia will oppose Grenada at 4:30 pm, while Bermuda will meet St. Vincent and the Grenadines at 6:30 pm.
The Group will climax on Sunday when Grenada will meet Bermuda at 4:30 pm, and St. Lucia will play against St. Vincent and the Grenadines at 6:30 pm.
