Bermuda wins Group three of the CFU Under-17 World Cup Qualifying Tournament

Bermuda won Group three of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Under-17 World Cup Qualifying Tournament at Victoria Park, Kingstown last night.

Bermuda and Grenada played to a one all draw in the first of the double header. The point moved them to an unassailable seven

RAH-ZIR Jones netted in the 12th-minute for the Bermudans, while Christian James converted from the penalty spot for Grenada.



St. Lucia thrashed host St. Vincent and the Grenadines five nil last night in a lop-siding encounter. The St. Lucians led two nil at half-time with goals from Linus Clovis in the 17th-minute and Romario Lender in the 21st-minute.

Bryan Polius extended the lead in the 51st-minute, then double strikes from Linus Clovis in the 65th and 66th-minutes completed Clovis hat-trick in the process ensured a very comfortable win for St. Lucia.

Bermuda ended on seven points and they would have advanced to the next round as Group winners. St. Lucia finished second on six points, Grenada third on four points and host St. Vincent and the Grenadines finished at the bottom with no points.
