Sparta FC trounces Owia FC

Orange Hill defeated Colonarie 2-1 on Saturday in the Under-17 Division of the North East Football League Youth Competition at the George Stephens Secondary School Playing Field in Colonarie.

Eddeon Hoyte and Trezine Da Souza netted a goal each for Orange Hill, while the goal for Colonarie was scored by Alex Adams.

In the Under-13 Division, Orange Hill won by default over Greggs FC.

On Sunday in the Under-13 Division, Sparta FC trounced Owia FC 5-2. Amron Thomas netted a hat-trick, with a goal each by Akeili Charles and Saviola Blake for Sparta FC. Zedonte Span scored both goals for Owia FC.

And, Zedonte Span was on target again as Owia FC bounced back to secure a narrow 1-nil win over Greggs FC.

In the Under-17 Division match, Owia FC defeated Greggs FC 1-nil through a goal scored by Odain Hoyte.

Meanwhile in two Under-13 Exhibition matches, System 3 defeated SV United 2-1 and Elite Georgetown League Team beat North Windward 5-2.

Today’s fixtures pits Sparta FC against Orange Hill at 3 pm, and at 4:30 pm, SV United will meet South Rivers. Both matches are in the Under-13 Division and will also be played at the George Stephens Secondary School Playing Field.
