Yesterday in the Regional Under-19, 50-Overs Cricket Championship, at Park Hill, Jamaica made light work of the ICC Americas winning quiet comfortably by 9 wickets. The scores: ICC Americas 133 off 41.1-overs; Arjune Pate 40, Sagar Patel 21; Dyron Bailey 4 for 14, Miguel Smith 3 for 31, Jeavor Harrison 3 for 46, Jamaica 139 for 1; Orande Pierson 43 not out, Jordan Hill 42 not out, Michael Crew 40. Tyron Daley was named Man of the Match.



At Arnos Vale One, defending champions, Guyana ended the Windward Islands winning streak with a 38-run victory. The scores: Guyana 238 for 9 off 50-overs; Kemore Paul 58, Bashcar Yardram 35, Malcolm Herbert 33; Allick Athanaze 2 for 35, Ryan John 2 for 39.

The Windward Islands 200 off 44.5-overs; Aneil Matthews 42, Allick Athanaze 33, Johan Jeremiah 32, John Eugene Jr. 32 not out; Tesram Shamdan 3 for 32, Akeem Adams 3 for 38, Kemore Paul 3 for 39. Kemore Paul was named Man of the Match.

At Stubbs, Trinidad and Tobago defeated the Leeward Islands by 4 wicks in a high scoring game. The scores: the Leeward Islands 280 for 6 off 50-overs; opening batsman, Tyrone Williams smashed a brilliant century 132, including 13 fours and three sixes from 139 balls, supported by Courtney James’ 50; Neger Smith took 2 for 35.

Trinidad and Tobago responded with 282 for 6; Keegan Simmons hit a belligerent 99, including twelve fours and two sixes, Brandon Maharaj 51, Kirsten Kallicharan 43, Deshorne Charles 24 being their main scorers; Coby James took 3 for 52.
